Four things to do
How to survive in the age of AI:
Been thinking about this. . . a lot.
The most important and first key step is to not resist change. But embrace it.
Here are some ways to do that:
Crypto Is Up:
Last week, market turmoil resulting from Silicon Valley Bank's collapse briefly caused Circle's USDC stablecoin to break its peg to the dollar.
But as it emerged unscathed things started looking better.
@Arthur_0x Founder of @DeFianceCapital tweeted:
Sebastian Sinclair, senior reporter at Blockworks wrote:
Some financial professionals see the current banking crisis as a sign the system is weakening, lending further credibility to decentralization and accompanying infrastructure.
The recent wave of bank closures across the US has highlighted the vulnerability of the traditional banking system, prompting crypto industry experts to advocate for decentralized financial infrastructure as a more secure and reliable alternative.
Banking Sector Stumbles Are Boon For DeFi - Blockworks
With the banks in chaos, crypto started to look good.
Bitcoin (BTC) is up.
Ether (ETH) is up.
Does this mean that crypto is back?
It’s looking good for the moment. But to find its real footing, we need a proper federal policy.
And we may see some progress there. The banking crisis could expedite stablecoin legislation.
In an interview with Yahoo Finance's Jennifer Schonberger, House Committee on Financial Services Chair Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), says the legislation could be passed in just a few days, hinting that the delay was due to concerns over which political party would be in control of the House of Representatives.
"The only thing that interfered, I think, with its passage was the anticipation that the house was going to change and it was going to be in the hands of the Republicans and they should take charge rather than those of us on the Democratic side," said Ranking Member Waters.
It’s good to know that web3 & crypto are not partisan issues.
GPT-4 is here:
OpenAI's long-awaited GPT-4 has arrived.
Launched Tuesday, the update has been hailed by the company as more reliable and creative than its popular predecessor. CEO Sam Altman said the tech was capable of passing the bar exam and "could score a 5 on several AP exams."
ChatGPT was previously powered by GPT-3.5. The update is available to users who pay for ChatGPT Plus and access to the API will be granted to a limited number of developers on OpenAI's waitlist.
But those who have tried Microsoft's artificial-intelligence-powered Bing have already experienced some of the new tech. On Tuesday, Microsoft said its AI-boosted Bing had been powered by a version of GPT-4 that was "customized for search."
Here are five ways the update differs from GPT-3.5.
1. GPT-4 can understand images
GPT-4 is "multimodal," meaning it can see and process image prompts as well as text.
2. The bot is said to be more accurate
According to OpenAI, the update will give more-accurate responses to users' queries.
3. Users can have longer conversationsÂ
GPT-4 can take in and generate about eight times more text than ChatGPT.
4. It's harder to break the rules
GPT-4 may be bad news for fans of ChatGPT's "evil" alter egos.Â
OpenAI said the update included its best-ever results on "steerability, and refusing to go outside of guardrails."Â Â
5. The chatbot is more creative
OpenAI said the update was the most creative and collaborative version of ChatGPT yet.
Here’s an excellent breakdown:
