Join more than 10,000 of the smartest people, keep up with the best thinkers in technology, and get ahead of the future.

The secret of the most successful people is that they never stop learning. They are insatiably curious and passionately driven to understand the world, learn about other people, and discover new things. In many ways, they are childlike. Their wonder and excitement about life never stop, no matter their chronological age.

I've been reading and re-reading biographies of Leonardo da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Ada Lovelace, Jennifer Doudna, and Albert Einstein. A common trait among these luminaries is a never-ending curiosity, and an unrelenting drive to seek the answers they need.

Einstein once said, "I have no special talent, I am only passionately curious."

But education systems emphasize memorization and conformity. And by puberty, most of us give up our sense of wonder, innate curiosity, and hunger for learning.

If this is your story, it's time to rewrite it.

The world is changing at warp speed. To succeed in the future, you must continually learn and update yourself. And the most effective way to do this is to reawaken your innate curiosity and desire to learn.

If you are eager to learn new things, endless possibilities and opportunities will come your way.

Become more adaptable, open yourself to new ideas, and learn to solve problems in creative and innovative ways, and you will be in great demand.

I asked ChatGPT, “How can we cultivate this insatiable curiosity and love of learning in ourselves?”

Here’s what came back:

  1. Set aside time for learning and exploration. Make it a priority to spend a certain amount of time each day or week learning about something new. This could be reading a book, taking an online course, or simply exploring a new topic that interests you.

  2. Seek out new experiences. Step outside of your comfort zone and try new things. This could be traveling to a new place, trying a new hobby, or learning about a subject you know nothing about.

  3. Surround yourself with curious and innovative people. Spend time with people who are always looking for new ways to learn and explore. This can help to inspire and motivate you to do the same.

  4. Keep an open mind. Be willing to consider new ideas and perspectives, even if they challenge your beliefs. This can help you to think more critically and creatively.

  5. Never stop asking questions. One of the most effective ways to learn is by asking questions. Don't be afraid to ask for clarification or to seek out more information on a topic that interests you.

ChatGPT is not always correct, but these five items are right on the money.

If you want to rule the world, it’s how you need to start living every day.

I recently tweeted about 23 things to learn in 2023. Check it out and pick one or two technologies to learn or try in January.

Misha. Your 'Following the Right People on Twitter' is how I found you. This is inspired. So much so that I am contemplating putting together a writers room based on the categories you formed. I will credit you. It has made me realise the types of voices we need to produce content for our People Spot App. For people moments at work. Thank you so much. I am telling others about you. Colin
