Hey everyone,

Please find your regular Wednesday deep dive below. This week it’s a little different. :) Your Future Ready 5 newsletter is coming on Friday, as always.
Something New:
This past Monday, I hosted a Twitter Spaces event.
I was lucky enough to have five of web3’s smartest leaders and a couple thousand of you join us.
We had a great conversation, packed with insights from behind the scenes and beyond the headlines.
Here is a short description of the event along with the recording.
I hope you find it as invigorating as I did!
Cheers,

Misha

What Smart People Think About the Future of Web3
It’s been quite the year for web3, and I wanted to carve out some time to talk about moving forward.
Joining me to chat about what we can learn from 2022 and prepare for the new year, were:
MILES JENNINGS - GC and Head of Decentralization at a16zcrypto
SCOTT MOORE - Co-founder of Gitcoin
IMAN EUROPE - Artist, Entertainer, and Head of Artist Relations at Sound
JAIME SCHMIDT - Co-founder of BFF
JEFF AMICO - Director of Crypto Startup School
Miles talked about the regulation that is so necessary if web3 is to flourish. He seems hopeful that the new year will bring some progress.
Scott discussed the importance of public goods and the role that web3 and Gitcoin play in supporting the development of digital public goods.
Iman filled us in on how web3 is impacting the lives of musicians and artists, and Sound’s vision for transforming the music industry.
Jaime spoke about building community in web3, and how her groundbreaking community, BFF, has stayed on course despite the economic turbulence.
Jeff gave us insights from behind the scenes of Crypto Startup School and the immense interest in the new cohort.
Dive in below, it will leave you excited about the future of web3 and ready to take on 2023.
It starts around 3:15 into the recording.
We’re planning some regular Twitter Spaces in 2023.
